01THE BRIEF

A creative studio for websites, games, events and anything else worth making. Small on purpose. It makes things for its own ventures first and takes outside work when it sounds fun.

The site didn’t need to sell anything. It needed to show the studio exists, then get out of the way. Secretive, a little strange, and very simple.

02THE NAME AND THE MARK

A swamp kitten is another name for a baby alligator. The mark is the part of a gator you actually see: two eyes sitting just above the waterline, watching. They blink. Sometimes they look around.

03THE LOOK

An old green phosphor terminal: glowing type, scanlines, hard pixel edges. Motion steps frame by frame instead of gliding, and all of it calms down for anyone who has Reduce Motion turned on.

04THE BOOT SEQUENCE

The first time you visit, the screen powers on and boots like an old computer, with a few Pittsburgh checks along the way. After that it remembers you and goes straight to the eyes.

05THE LAUNCH

A square profile image for Instagram, plus a short launch Reel that boots the terminal, opens the eyes and types out the name. No products, just the studio.
